Help Stella Maris Get a Pitching Machine

***Update 3: On 3/3/25 I dropped off a check at Stella Maris for the $3001. Go FundMe was going to take out like $89 for their share, but I decided to just eat that cost and wrote for the full $3001. Confirmed today with Stella that shipping estimate was 3/7, so hopefully will be in time for next practice. Thanks again to everyone who donated and shared.

***Update 2: I called Chris Lemke, Stella Maris’s athletic director to discuss where to ship this. It came up that there were advantages to them directly ordering it, like the school having the 2 year warranty. Anyway, it was decided that Stella would order it and then I give them a check for the funds we raised. They ordered it 2/28/2025 at 11:19 AM off Amazon. They ordered 3 dozen balls for it too. Final total was $3034.22. The best part is that after talking to the company, I think there is a good chance the team will have the pitching machine for their next 3/9/2025 practice. Fingers crossed!

Stella Maris’s baseball team in Duluth, MN needs a baseball pitching machine and specifically desires the Jr Hack Attack Model. The program is blessed with great coaching, but this equipment would increase batting repetitions and help accelerate player development. It looks like with the additional pitching chute, this comes in around $3,000 total. The hope is that with enough contributions from parents, grandparents, friends, etc., this goal can be achieved. Should the goal be exceeded, any additional funds would go to other equipment needs for the team. Feel free to share the link to others who would be interested in helping.

About me: I don’t work for Stella Maris, but 3 of our 4 kids attend there, and the pitching machine is a clear need for the baseball program I want to help with. Thank you!
