Stella’s journey began when I was deployed to Romania and Bulgaria. She and her sisters were just two weeks old when they were found abandoned after their mom was taken by dog catchers. My friends and I stepped in to care for the puppies, making sure they were safe and healthy until they could be sent to a charity shelter. There, they received the love and attention they needed until they were old enough to be flown to the US. Stella has always been a resilient and loving companion, and I am grateful every day for the chance to give her a better life.
Now, at just two years old, Stella is facing a new challenge. After a bad slip, she was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. The surgery she needs is extremely expensive, and her recovery could take up to six months. Because Stella is still so young, this surgery will make a huge difference in her quality of life, giving her the chance to run, play, and enjoy her days without pain.
I’m reaching out to friends, family, and animal lovers for support as Stella faces this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will help cover her surgery and recovery expenses, and will give her the opportunity to live a happy, pain-free life. Thank you so much for your kindness and for being part of Stella’s journey.
