Help Stella and Bella Recover

Donation protected
While at a religious ceremony on the evening of Sunday January 14, Stella Mary, her husband Jagdesh, and their daughter Bella were involved in an accident during which a bonfire exploded after someone poured gasoline. Both Stella and Bella sustained significant first, second and third degree burns to their face and hands. Doctors determined the injuries were significant enough to admit almost 4 year old Bella to Johns Hopkins pediatric ICU. Bella’s injuries will require multiple surgeries to recover from this unimaginable accident. Stella will also need extensive treatment, while managing care for Bella. The challenges are compounded as they navigate being away from their home country (India) during Stella's post-doctoral fellowship. The road to recovery will require significant physical, financial and emotional support. Stella, Jagdesh, and Bella are incredibly appreciative of your support.

Stella's Wilmer/Hopkins lab mates have established this GoFundMe page as way for family, friends, and colleagues to support them through this horrible tragedy. These funds will help cover extensive medical bills, rent, and meals. We know the power of community will help them. Thank you!
