As many of you know by now, on Sunday April 6th at 5:45am our friend, Stefanie, woke up to a neighbor pounding on her door. ...and just like that, her whole world was turned upside down. A fire had started in one of the top units of her apartment building and began spreading rapidly. While she and her cat, Lady, both made it out safe, they lost everything. She left her apartment that day with her cat in a carrier, wearing her boyfriend's slippers and a sweatshirt...and that's it. That's pretty much all she has left.

Stefanie is one of the kindest, most generous people I know. She'd do anything for anyone. She is incredibly resistant to accepting help, always focusing on other people first. Even now, when I finally saw her face to face after this terrible tragedy, her biggest concerns were all of the other residents. ...but there are a lot of people in this community that their lives have been changed for the better just by having her in it and I know that we can and will help her rise up from this and rebuild again.

So, please, if you have the ability to give, any amount will help and be so appreciated.
