I was set to receive surgery for thyroid cancer on Sept 29, 2025. I was sent to Kaiser to prepare for surgery by getting blood work done. Upon getting my blood work, they gave me an HCG blood test which ended up coming back as I was positive for a pregnancy. I am 37 years old and was told that I would never have kids. I was told that I went through menopause at an early age. Imagine my surprise when my surgeon called and said that I was pregnant. Flash forward, surgery had to be postponed. A few weeks after finding out I was pregnant, I went to work and had a bleeding episode. It was as if I was miscarrying. My job called 911 and I was rushed to the E.R. The doctors found that I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, which means my placenta came apart from my uterine wall and blood was caught behind it. Luckily, the baby did and continues to thrive. I was put on bed rest for a week and that's where the nightmare happened. I lost a week's worth of pay. I went back to work for 2 days and then had an accident. During the week I was on bed rest, I went in for an ultrasound and they said the hemorrhaging stopped and was gone. But when I had the accident at work, the hemorrhaging began again. Now I am on workers' comp. Unfortunately, workers' comp is complicated and takes a few weeks to sort out. Which comes to why I created this GoFundMe. I am in a rut with rent. I am short for the month of October/November. I have gone through the county, but there is a limit on income to meet and unfortunately, I do not meet the income requirement. I have called 211. I have done everything I can but no luck whatsoever.

If you can please help in any way, you have no idea what this means. I have received a notice to pay rent or quit back. I do not want to be homeless and not have a home to bring my baby to. Also, losing my apartment would deeply hurt my credit and will hurt my chances of ever having my own place. I understand times are tight and it's now the holiday season. Please, I beg for any help.
