Life has a way of stopping you in your tracks — and that’s exactly what happened when I was told I have triple-negative stage 3 breast cancer. I will be undergoing a bilateral mastectomy and axillary lymph node removal. This surgery is only the first step of a very long journey.
This diagnosis has shaken my entire world. After surgery, I will continue treatment with more rounds of chemotherapy and likely additional procedures to finish what this first surgery starts. This is not a quick fight — it’s months of treatment, recovery, and learning to live with the physical and emotional weight this diagnosis brings.
My days have been filled with doctor’s appointments, hard decisions, and trying to stay strong for my family while quietly carrying the weight of fear and uncertainty. As a mom and a soldier, I am used to being the strong one for everyone else.
But right now, I have to lean on my community to help carry me through. This journey has placed a heavy financial strain on me and my family — from recovery supplies and transportation to treatment appointments, household needs, and the basic cost of living while I focus on healing.
I am creating this fundraiser because this battle isn’t just emotional and physical — it’s also financially draining. Cancer care brings with it countless unexpected costs, from recovery needs and transportation to keeping my household running and making sure my family is cared for while I focus on healing.
Your generosity will help me focus on what matters most: surviving this, recovering well, and being present for my loved ones. Whether you give a little or a lot, every donation takes away some of the stress and helps me breathe a little easier.
Even if you can’t give, sharing this page or sending encouragement means the world to me. Thank you for standing beside me as I fight through one of the hardest battles of my life.
