This GoFundMe is for Stefan Tillstrom. In late November of 2024, my great friend Jordan Stanford died on the front lines in his noble fight to aid, defend, and liberate Ukraine from invading forces. For months, there were no answers as Ukraine is a war-torn and chaotic place right now, where information is scarce. After months of searching and scouring the internet, I found a post dedicated to Jordan, commemorating his death, and in the comments, a comrade and friend wrote his sympathies. This friend was Stefan Tillstrom, a fellow soldier who trained with and fought alongside Jordan. I reached out to Stefan to see if I could gather any details about Jordan, to try to find closure and help for Jordan’s family, friends, and myself. Stefan provided vital information about Jordan’s death and gave me contact information with local Ukrainian organizations to pass on to Jordan’s family to try to aid in whatever capacity they could.

Stefan, a Dane, is now back in Denmark, and is suffering from injuries he suffered in battle after his bunker was blown up. Stefan was in the 18th Marine Company of the 36th Brigade of the Ukrainian military fighting in the Pokrovsk Sector. He requires extensive surgery, rehabilitation, and medical treatment to aid in his recovery, which isn’t cheap. His spine and pelvis are badly damaged, and he has trouble walking and suffers pain every day from nerve damage as a result of the blast. These funds in particular are to pay for a surgery to help relieve the damaged nerve and stabilize elements of his spine. Due to the nature of Denmark’s healthcare system, he would have to wait over a year to get treatment, but with these funds, it could be achieved much sooner.

Stefan has been instrumental in helping Jordan’s family, including his mother who I have been in regular contact with, as well as his friends and myself get closure and support after the loss of our beloved Jordan. Please help this man who helped me, Jordan’s family, and the people of Ukraine.
