Help Stasya Have A Soft Landing

Donation protected
Hi everyone. I'm starting this fundraiser to raise funds for post-graduation moving and living expenses while I find a job in the area and settle into life without school.

As many of you know, I have been financially independent since I started college. I've worked many jobs in my time at the University of Oregon, and more often than not worked multiple jobs at a time. I worked in University Housing for two years to secure housing and not need to take out loans at all due to a scholarship covering my tuition. I've also had internships while working and remaining a full time student. All of that stress has not made graduation easy, but the end is in sight.

Many of my fellow graduates have what my therapist likes to call a "soft landing" ready for them after graduation. A job lined up, a family home to move back into, a close connection in their industry of choice. I do not currently have a soft landing lined up. There are a lot of reasons for that, primarily being that I do not have a huge amount of savings left after the pandemic and not working in UO housing this year and needing to pay more bills as a result. I've continued to work throughout the pandemic but college students aren't known for being a particularly well paid work force.

This year I am graduating with my Bachelors degree (technically TWO Bachelors degrees as I am graduating in two majors) in Family and Human Services and Ethnic Studies. In my time at UO I have been involved in a number of campus groups, including the Women of Color Coalition, an office assistant and the Disability Justice Coordinator at the UO Women's Center, a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, a member of the University Counseling Center Student Advisory Board, and the elections coordinator for the ASUO 2021-2022 election.

It would mean the world to me if my family and friends would consider donating to my soft landing fund as a graduation gift to me. The amount I've chosen would help me afford moving fees, rent while I find an adult job with a local address, my share of utilities and bills etc, and most of all peace of mind while I wrap up my last three weeks at the University of Oregon and dedicate my energy to completing coursework and graduating.

Thank you everyone for all the support you have offered over these last few years, I especially couldn't have gotten to this point without the support of my mom, my grandpa, and my mema. Thank you to my friends for standing by me through everything. Thank you to my mentors for lifting me up and making me grow.
