My name is Richard Douglas (Dougie), and alongside a group of passionate local volunteers, I’m working to launch a brand-new grassroots football club — Grimsargh Village FC, based in PR2.

With several local teams folding and Grimsargh growing rapidly, there’s a real need to provide opportunities for children to play football, stay active, make friends, and be part of something positive in their own community.

We’ve already formed a committee, recruited qualified coaches, sourced pitches, and begun forming teams for ages U9 to U16 — all in just a few weeks. The support has been incredible, but now we need help to cover the basics:

• Football kits for each age group

• Training and matchday equipment

• Pitch hire

• First aid supplies

• Referee fees

• DBS checks and safeguarding training

• Goals, bibs, balls, and cones

• Club insurance and FA affiliation

We’re committed to keeping this club accessible to all, regardless of financial background — so every donation, big or small, will go directly towards making this happen for the children of Grimsargh and surrounding areas.
