Animals have always held a special place in my heart, but it was after watching Yes Theory’s video with Apex Protection Project that my passion for wolfdogs truly took off. I started searching for sanctuaries in Oregon, hoping to meet wolfdogs in person and volunteer my time. Despite my efforts, I haven’t been able to find a local sanctuary that would accept new volunteers.
Recently, I’ve seen more and more posts on Facebook about wolfdogs needing urgent rescue. I’ve also heard that many sanctuaries are at capacity, getting multiple calls about wolfdogs in need. It’s heartbreaking to know that so many of these incredible animals are abandoned or surrendered because families aren’t prepared for their unique needs.
That’s why I’m working toward starting a wolfdog sanctuary and rescue here in Oregon. My goal is to purchase property near McMinnville or Sheridan and build proper enclosures to provide a safe haven for wolfdogs. I also want to help educate others about what it really means to care for these amazing animals. Starting something like this comes with major upfront costs, especially for land and enclosures, and at my current pace, it could take years to save enough for a down payment.
If you’d like to support this dream—whether through donations, advice, connections, land opportunities, or simply sharing—I’d truly appreciate it. Thank you for reading and supporting this vision.
