*** Update liver tumor is low grade and not the same as the high grade glioblastoma! Thank goodness. Started radiation 7/19/24

Her beauitful daughter Starr is 9 years old and suffered for 2 weeks with a horrible headache, vomiting, no sleep and crying all the time. Her Dr wanted to keep a journal of how often (however it was constant) Englewood ER was a joke but the closet to us. They took her there and they had the nerve to say “she had a UTI that’s why she has a headache and vomiting”!! Then we took her to bayshore were they did a CT scan! Found a brain bleed. They air flighted her to John Hopkins in St Pete. They found an egg size mass on the right side of brain, removed that on June 3rd. She has a lesion on the left side of her brain. She got to go home The 6th. Tuesday the 11th they were informed it was cancer. A few days later, she wasn’t feeling very well. The headaches were coming back and stomach pain. The closest ER was Englewood. Diagnosis, constipation, (which she was constipated) We was home 8 days! She caught a fever of 103. And they rushed her to Venice Sarasota Memorial Hospital on Saturday night. She had an infection somewhere they couldn’t find exactly where so 3am Sunday back to St Pete she goes. She was so constipated, despite using MiraLAX for days it was hiding her liver in the X-rays and testing they found two huge masses hanging off the right lobe of her liver. The size of roughly of a baseball (bit bigger tho) several smaller ones inside the liver. It’s cancer. They won’t know until the end of the week exactly what masses those are, but they are afraid that that’s what caused her to have the cancer on her brain. They are going to be away from home for a while

How long we have no clue but when they start chemo and radiation that treatment is six weeks. Once they get all the papers and test back, they will look nationwide to whom ever is the best to treat . Experimental drugs, Treatments. They may have to travel outside of Florida.. Waiting to see what's around to help. We are sleep deprived. They have 3 girls which the other two may need to be checked out . Funds are extremely tight. They are trying to find places to take in our animals. So they do not have to constantly keep going back-and-forth. Their tires are old. But her partner has no choice but to go to work we can’t afford for him not to. He did the first time we were here and missed a week of work. Im pleading with the community to assist in what they can do and help please.
