Help Starr Kidz Academy Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

On Monday, October 20, 2025, our beloved childcare center Starr Kidz Academy 2 was tragically set on fire in a deliberate act of arson. This heartbreaking event marked the second attack on our center this year, a devastating blow to our dreams, our children, and our community.

We reacquired our building in January 2025, full of hope and determination to bring quality childcare back to our neighborhood. We invested our time, resources, and faith into remodeling, restoring, and preparing for a soft relaunch scheduled for October 31, 2025, a day that was supposed to mark a new beginning.

But tragedy struck not once but twice.

In February 2025, before we could even reopen, our facility was broken into and vandalized, leaving behind severe flooding and water damage that destroyed much of what we had just finished repairing. It was a painful setback, but we refused to give up. With faith, community support, and our own hard work, we began restoring once again, determined to create a safe, nurturing space for our children and families.

Then, just days before our scheduled opening, the unimaginable happened. Our building was intentionally set on fire, leaving nothing but ashes, debris, and heartbreak behind.

Despite these repeated violations, we are standing firm in faith and believing that beauty will rise from these ashes. Starr Kidz Academy has always been more than just a childcare center; it is a community built on love, learning, and resilience. For years, we have poured into our children and families, providing care, guidance, and stability. Now we are humbly asking for your help to rebuild what was taken from us.
