Help StarFox08 & family ease any burdens coming!

Hey our names are Kayla Myers and Ryan Davenport, and we are making this GoFundMe page for our son Christopher Davenport who is 12. We just recently found out on October 6th, 2021 that he has Hodgkin's Lymphoma-Nodular Sclerosing type stage 2 cancer! To start out I had taken Christopher to be tested for covid and on top of that he's had a really bad cough. So I asked if we could have a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. Then the doctors called back and said they wanted a CT scan done on him because they seen something on the X-ray. So I took him up to the children's ER and had the CT scan done. The doctor agreed that it was possible HL. To finish confirming he had to have a lymph node biopsy. After the lymph node biopsy confirmed that it was HL, he had to go in for more procedures. In just the last two weeks he's had his port placed for chemo treatments, bone marrow biopsy, echocardiogram, PET scan, & a breathing test! We have finished all of these tests and now on October 20th, 2021 we will do lab work and be admitted to start his first treatment.

Ryan is a solo provider for his household and hasn't been able to work as often due to the circumstances that have been going on. I used to do a little bit of work on the side as well but I am now no longer able to do that anymore, for having to be with Christopher as well.

Ryan and me both are not the type that likes to ask for help, but in a situation like this, it's unavoidable. Especially with having to go day by day and not knowing what's coming next.

The problem with children with Childhood Cancer, is that it's a LIFETIME diagnosis. There is so many harsh drugs that they have to take, that do things to the other organs in their body. So he will always have to be scanned, checked, have other test, & of course any other issues that we may not know of right now, but maybe in his future!
