Recently my doctors have found a large mass in the middle of my right kidney , also known as Renal Cell Carcinoma. While performing a CT scan they also found a large cyst on my left ovary.
I will be needing two separate surgeries to remove my right kidney and the cyst on my ovary.
As some of you may know, treating cancer even with insurance can get really expensive. One of my scans alone was over 500 dollars after insurance. I'm told I must meet my deductible of 3,500 dollars and also pay to have the test results of my PET scan to be read out of pocket. I will also have to pay 15% of all of the surgical costs and hospital stays, which are estimated to be over $20,000 dollars on the low end.
This past November 2019, my husbands salary has been almost cut in half at the Sheriff's office due to overtime no longer being available, which makes it that much more difficult in our time of need.
I also battle Graves disease , an auto-immune disease that causes my body to attack itself in many different areas that has no cure. I'm frightened and desperately in need of help. I love my kids and family more than anything, and need to be here with them!
