Stanley has been dealing with heart issues for the past two years. He has coronary heart disease and had a stint put in a couple years ago.
Within the last two weeks, he has had several heart attack symptoms/episodes and has had the ambulance called several times and this is the second time he's ended up in the ER.
This week, he decided to stay home and rest before his scheduled Angiogram on Friday, Sept 20th 2024.
On Thursday, Sept 18th 2024 at around 3pm, he was home alone and started having severe pain in his chest and left arm and was sweating profusely.
An ambulance was called and he was taken to the ER. Due to him constantly having chest pains and the fact he had a scheduled Angiogram in the morning, the Doctor decided to admit him to the hospital for observation overnight.
On Friday, Sept 19th, 2024, he had his scheduled Angiogram at around 9am.
The Doctor said that he was lacking the left main artery with severe blockage, but the right side looked good.
Due to the severity of the blockage, the Dr scheduled him for immediate open-heart surgery.
He went into surgery at 2pm and was finished about 6pm.
The Dr said they were able to fix the blockage, and he was stabilized.
He was taken up to his room and is in stable condition and will be staying for about a week in the hospital before being released.
We will continue to keep this page updated as he continues his recovery.
