As many of you know, Brooklyn made the heart-breaking decision to leave this world on Feb. 4 after only 32.5 years. We are so grateful for all of the love, prayers and healing thoughts that have been poured out on our family at this incredibly difficult time, and we know they are sustaining us through this tragedy. However, we have been asked by many people what they can do to help and while we have been focused on invaluable prayer support, the unfortunate reality is that there are many unexpected expenses with such a horrific event. In addition to staggering funeral expenses that have been incurred, our oldest daughter Samantha was renting an apartment in PA with Brooklyn, so Sam no longer has anyone with whom to share the burden of half the rent and utilities.

Besides working full time, raising her sons and being the lead person to wrap up loose ends in PA, Sam also faces the emotionally daunting task of going through Brooklyn’s belongings to decide what to pack and keep and what to let go, so she can find another roommate to share expenses or move into another rental. Max, Rachel and I are committed to supporting Sam in any way that we can, but we welcome others coming alongside us to support our family at this difficult time.
