I am facing hard times at this moment. I am currently facing an eviction and just lost my job. My previous job required me to travel for months at a time, making it impossible to pay my rent on time. My rental property does not offer online rent payment, so it would cause me to be late a few times. Then I put trust into a family member to take care of this for me. For a few months, I would Zelle or give cash to take care of my rent. On November 2nd, I received an email asking me when I would be able to pay rent because I’m behind. I immediately called the office because I thought it was a mistake due to the fact I put my trust into a family member. I explained to them that a family member should have been paying my rent on my behalf. I was advised to take it up with the family member and probably law enforcement.

On November 10th, I received a 30-day notice to pay rent or vacate the premises. Now, with me losing my job a week ago, I don’t know what else to do. I have applied for emergency rental assistance, but I don’t know the turnaround time. My pride is to the side and I appreciate any help. The funds raised will go toward covering overdue rent and utilities, giving me and my household a chance to stay in our home while I search for new employment.
