Hi, my name is Julie & John, pet parents, and we are fundraising for our sweet bunny, Stacy, who is currently facing a serious medical issue.

Stacy is more than just a pet she’s family. She’s gentle, curious, and has a way of bringing comfort just by hopping over and sitting nearby, and giving kisses Recently, we noticed a growing abscess forming under her chin. After veterinary visits, we learned that this can be caused by dental issues, which are unfortunately common but very serious in rabbits, or maybe even cancer.

Rabbit abscesses are not like those in cats or dogs. They don’t heal on their own and require surgery, along with specialized dental treatment, pain management, antibiotics, and ongoing care. Without this treatment, the infection can spread and become life threatening.

Stacy needs:

•blood work

•CT scans -xray

• Surgical removal of the abscess

• Dental work to address the underlying cause

• Medication, pain management, and follow-up visits

• Specialized exotic veterinary care

The cost of this care is more than I can manage alone, but delaying treatment is not an option. Stacy is still eating, still trusting, and still fighting and she deserves a chance to live a healthy, pain-free life.

Hola, nuestros nombres son Julie y John, somos padres de una mascota, y estamos recaudando fondos para nuestra dulce conejita, Stacy, quien actualmente enfrenta un serio problema médico. Stacy es más que una mascota; es parte de nuestra familia. Es dulce, curiosa y tiene una forma muy especial de brindar consuelo con solo acercarse, sentarse a nuestro lado y darnos besitos. Recientemente, notamos que se le estaba formando un absceso debajo del mentón. Tras varias visitas al veterinario, nos informaron que esto puede ser causado por problemas dentales —lamentablemente comunes pero muy graves en los conejos— o incluso podría tratarse de cáncer. Los abscesos en conejos no son como los de perros o gatos. No se curan por sí solos y requieren cirugía, además de tratamiento dental especializado, manejo del dolor, antibióticos y cuidados continuos. Sin este tratamiento, la infección puede propagarse y poner su vida en peligro. Stacy necesita:

• Análisis de sangre

• Tomografía computarizada y radiografías

• Cirugía para remover el absceso

• Tratamiento dental para abordar la causa subyacente

• Medicamentos, control del dolor y visitas de seguimiento

• Atención veterinaria especializada en animales exóticos El costo de esta atención es más de lo que podemos manejar solos, pero retrasar el tratamiento no es una opción. Stacy todavía está comiendo, todavía confía en nosotros y sigue luchando, y merece una oportunidad de vivir una vida sana y sin dolor.
