My name is Stacy Taritas and I teach 2nd grade dual language at Anana Elementary School in Madison, WI. I have a teaching partner that teaches the Spanish portion and I teach the English portion. Our students have a half day in each language. Up until this year, our district has required Math to be taught only in Spanish. They've now decided that half of the year of Math will be taught in English, and the other half in Spanish. That being said, this will be my first year teaching Math and I am in need of many supplies to help my students become successful Math learners.

Many of our students (especially our English language learners -student who speak English as their second language) are not growing as they should be in Math. This year my focus is to create many cooperative games to reinforce their understanding of our 2nd grade Math standards - this will provide them with a fun opportunity to work with partners or small groups.

I have many worksheet games for each of the second grade standards that need to be printed on stock paper, laminated, and organized into plastic containers with counters and manipulatives. Currently at my school, both printers are broken and so is the laminator. I printed the attached pages on my home printer, but it is old and not performing correctly as witnessed by the lines on the pages. The printer problem at school is ongoing. My hope is that these items will allow me to focus more on my teaching of math and less on how to get the items made that will help me be a better teacher to my students.

My hope is to purchase a printer that has refillable ink along with colored stock paper, personal laminating machine, laminating pockets, etc. I will also need to purchase many Uno games, counters, cards, base 10 blocks and other manipulatives to pull this all together.

Please help me and my students have a fun filled year of playing reinforcing math games with our peers while practicing and solidifying our learning.
