Hi, my name is Joseph, and I’m reaching out to assist a dear friend, Stacy, during one of the most difficult times in her life.
On April 3rd, 2025, Stacy’s world was turned upside down when she discovered that her mother had passed away unexpectedly in their shared apartment. For the past 14 years, Stacy had been her mother’s primary caregiver following a debilitating stroke. The two of them were not only mother and daughter — they were best friends, housemates, and an unshakable team.
Nine years ago, they moved from Las Vegas to Central Florida. Their days were simple but special: watching TV shows together after Stacy got off of work, enjoying takeout dinners on weekends, or chatting at the community pool in the Florida sun.
Now, Stacy is grieving the sudden loss of the person she loved most — all while facing the crushing weight of having to manage everything on her own.
Since they shared living costs, losing her mom has also meant losing half of the household income. On top of her grief, Stacy now has to relocate quickly, as she can no longer afford to stay in their current apartment alone. She is looking to move into a more affordable one-bedroom apartment, closer to friends for emotional support and community.
Despite the emotional toll, Stacy continues to show incredible strength and determination. She’s maintaining her full-time job while handling all the logistics of this painful transition — but with limited resources, rising living costs, and physical limitations from her fibromyalgia, it's becoming too much to manage without help.
We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to help Stacy cover:
- A moving truck and professional movers (due to her limited mobility)
- First month’s rent and security deposit for a new apartment
- Utility setup and basic household essentials
- Removal and disposal of her mom’s belongings that cannot be kept or donated
- A cleaning service for her current apartment’s move-out
- Support for essential bills and groceries while she transitions
This support would not only relieve some of the financial pressure but would also give Stacy the time and space to grieve properly — without the added stress of immediate survival needs.
If you’ve ever lost someone close, you know how hard it is to focus on anything else — especially when you’re also trying to figure out how to afford a new roof over your head. Stacy is doing everything she can, but no one should have to walk through this kind of pain alone.
Please consider donating — even a few dollars can make a big difference. And if you're unable to give right now, a share of this campaign would mean the world.
Let’s come together to help someone who’s given so much of herself for others, and now just needs a hand to stand again.
With deep gratitude,
Joseph G.
