Two years ago, I suffered a stroke that affected my vision, motor skills, and balance. Since then, everyday tasks and medical care have become much more challenging. About nine months ago, my iPhone was destroyed, and I’ve been without a phone ever since. At first, I embraced the quiet but over time, it’s become a serious safety and health concern, especially given my stroke recovery.

I’m unable to work or drive, and not having a phone leaves me vulnerable and isolated. Without one, it’s extremely difficult, if not impossible, to manage doctor visits, physical therapy, Social Security appointments, get prescriptions, groceries, and transportation. I can’t arrange rides, contact friends, or call for help in an emergency.

I’ve been tracking the cost of refurbished iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max models, which have accessibility and AI-assisted features that are especially helpful with my vision and motor-skill limitations.

I’m hoping to raise $700–$800 to cover a refurbished phone, protective case, and magnetic charger.
 
If anyone has upgraded their phone recently and has a working iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max (512GB) they’d be willing to sell or pass along, that would be great as well.

Having a phone again isn’t a luxury — it’s essential for my safety, health, and independence.
