Our dear friend, coach, uncle, son, brother, husband and father Stacy Goree was diagnosed with Throat Cancer on Christmas Eve. As they began Chemo and Radiation treatments in late January, many of you stepped in and helped provide meals as they transitioned into a new routine.

Stacy is so much to so many, but most importantly - Husband and Dad to his amazing kids who need him healthy. Maribel needs to be able to take care of Stacy without adding to the overwhelming stress of what this diagnosis and treatment have already brought to their lives. Maribel has coninuted to work full time - even from home as much as possible to be able to help take care of Stacy. 

Stacy’s treatment was expected to take 8 weeks. After an unexpected trip to the ER and 9 day extended stay at the hospital, he is on week 16 of treatment as his body is struggling to keep up with the rapid pace and strength of the treatment.

With Stacy being as sick as he has been, he has been out of work longer than expected and they are in need of some help. Groceries, Utilities, and Medical Bills are the priority at this point until insurance deductibles are met and disability begins to cover his loss of income. 

Please pray for the family as they continue to fight cancer and that Stacys body would be able to heal and respond better to and rebound from the treatment. Pray for Maribel who is running on empty herself trying to manage all the things from treatments, adverse reactions from treatments, appointments, work, kids activities, and everything else that caretakers take on.
