Hello everyone, we are Kim McKinzie and Becky Starkey. We are hoping to raise funds for our niece, Staci Campbell Childs.
Staci is a 40-year-old mom who was born with a congenital heart defect known as transposition of the great vessels (TGA). She had open-heart surgery at 8 months old. While the surgery was successful at the time, it was discovered that the children who had this procedure would potentially need a heart transplant later in life. This is what Staci is facing now.
Staci is currently in ICU at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She is away from her four sweet girls, who are with Staci’s parents in Porter, OK. Her fiancé, Dakota, works a full-time job at the Port of Catoosa and travels every weekend to be with Staci. This has put a considerable financial hardship on their family.
Staci was recently placed on the transplant list and will have to stay in St. Louis for a time once she has the transplant. We are asking for funds for travel and daily living expenses while the family is separated during this very difficult time. We are hoping to lessen the stress and burden on her and Dakota so they can concentrate on getting Staci better and she can come home to her girls.
We appreciate any donation and prayers.
