Help Stacie Heal After Hit-and-Run

On May 2nd, Stacie Dearden—wife, mother of five young children (ages 4–8), and a loving presence in her newly blended family—was the victim of a hit-and-run car accident with all five kids in the vehicle. By God’s grace, the children are okay, but Stacie suffered severe head and neck injuries. Since then, she hasn’t been able to work, drive, or keep up with the daily responsibilities of caring for her family.

With her husband John working full-time in Christian ministry, their household of seven is now relying on a single income, and the financial strain is growing. The care available through insurance hasn’t been enough to help Stacie heal, so they are turning to Occulus Brain Centers in San Diego for the treatment she truly needs. The initial cost of treatment is $4,600, but with GoFundMe’s platform fees and related expenses, the total need is closer to $6,000. While they are pursuing legal action, they are also praying that the person responsible would come forward and take responsibility for their actions.
