Help Stacie Briganti Through Her Cancer Journey

Hello, my name is Alex Petrigash. If anyone knows my mother, Stacie Briganti, you’d know she is very caring and a lovable person. She was diagnosed with Stage 2A Breast Cancer on July 10, 2024. They found an Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in her right breast with lymph node involvement in her right armpit. I’m here making a GoFundMe because expenses have added up and even a little bit of a donation would help my family out tremendously with all of the medical bills.

She has just completed 6 cycles of TCHP chemotherapy. Currently, she is taking ongoing infusions 3 times weekly containing magnesium and IV fluids.

There is a surgery scheduled on February 12 for her Bilateral Mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, including removal of multiple lymph nodes. The surgery will decide if radiation is needed; we will need to await biopsy results to check if margins are clear. She will more than likely need 3+ follow-up surgeries. She will have maintenance infusions for at least one year.

My mom will be off work for at least one month after surgery, doctor's orders. She will not be able to lift more than 5 lbs with either arm until she is fully recovered (could take up to 2 months or longer). Her husband, Dennis Briganti, will also need to take some time off after the surgery to help take care of her.

The money raised will go towards all medical bills not covered by insurance. It will also help offset the time off work due to PTO being exhausted, and there have been many times where she has had to stay in the hospital for up to a week at a time due to fluids being low and needing to be monitored.

Any money left over will go towards making “Hope Kits” for newly diagnosed cancer patients.
