Help a mom and baby displaced by a house fire

Friends and family,

My name is Staci and my 1 year old daughter and I have suffered a terrible tragedy in which we lost all of our possessions in a building fire on Monday June 5th.

On that day just after 1 PM, I was putting my daughter down for her afternoon nap when I heard yelling from just outside. I stepped out of my front door to discover a neighboring unit in my building was on fire and burning rapidly. I ran back into my apartment and grabbed my baby, phone and car keys and evacuated the building only to watch everything I own be destroyed right before my eyes.

Any money that may be raised using this platform will be used to help us to rebuild our lives by purchasing clothing, essential personal items and supplies and hopefully securing housing.

No amount is too small, and anything truly helps. If you can donate it will allow me and my daughter to start the process of reconstructing our lives. If you cannot donate but would like to still help I would love if you share this message with family, friends, co workers or networks.

Going through something like this has been very traumatizing, no one ever thinks it will be them. We made it out with the clothes on our backs and I’m grateful for that. Luckily my cat survived as well, he was wet and scared as he should be, but alive.
