Help Stacey with Seymour's Recovery

Seymour had a terrible accident in his pasture that resulted in him fracturing the spinous processes of multiple vertebrae, fortunately, the body of the vertebrae, that support/protect the spine and spinal cord, remain intact. In the accompanying photo you can see one of the processes protruding from his back.

I met Seymour a few months ago after Stacey had given him some well deserved time off. She had taken him from a less than ideal situation on the track, and simply let him be a horse for a time. Although he had not been ridden in quite a while, I was able to take him for a leisurely ride and he showed such wonderful promise.

Seymour now needs to have surgery at a veterinary hospital and stay there until the veterinarians feel that he has begun to heal well, about a week or so of time. The surgery is required to remove the fragments of bone to reduce abscess/infection risk. This surgery will give Seymour the best chance at a normal life without limitations.

Let's all pull together to help Stacey make this happen for her sweet, young horse and set them both on the track to recovery.
