Help Stacey keep her business while she’s poorly
Hi folks,
I am Jo and I live in Doune. I am blessed to have known Stacey for about ten years now, first as my hairdresser and then over the years as my ‘endo sister’. Both Stacey and I have a condition called endometriosis. It can sometimes be thought of as a ‘women’s problem’ but it’s actually a lot more than that; it can ‘travel’ to pretty much anywhere in the body, even after hysterectomy. This is what is going on for Stacey right now.
Folks in Doune will know that the Style Room has been closed since Christmas. That is because on Boxing Day something beyond awful happened to Stacey. She was admitted to hospital and to cut a long story short, it seems like she has something pressing on her trigeminal nerve. This condition is the most painful condition known to humans (think huge electric shocks in your face and jaw), and because of Covid delays, Stacey is still on a waiting list to get scans and so on. She’s in medication, but that is making life pretty impossible for her and I’m very sad to say she’s a shadow of her former self just now.
She is determined to fight whatever is going on, and needs out support while she’s not able to work. I know that her clients will love her as much as I do, so please can you help me take some pressure off her for a wee while (her business still has bills every month) until she’s had the scan, seen the specialist again and hopefully will be on the road to recovery?
Stacey has never asked anyone for anything in her life, and she’s literally the kindest person I know. I know all too well what her endo pain feels like, but I can’t imagine what the trigeminal pain feels like. Let’s help her until she’s back in her feet.
Many thanks,
Jo
