UPDATE: WE ARE SORRY TO REPORT THAT STACEY SUDDENLY PASSED AWAY ON TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK, JULY 7TH. WE ARE HEARTBROKEN. THE FINANCIAL NEED IS REAL TO COVER UNEXPECTED EXPENSES SUCH AS FINAL MEDICAL BILLS, CREMATION, FUNERAL EXPENSES, AND BURIAL. WE ARE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED THUS FAR. PLEASE HELP US SUPPORT HIS WIFE CHERYL, AND SON HAYES. THANK YOU. CATHY BENSON (STACEY'S SISTER)

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

I am asking today for your help as my beloved baby brother Stacey has been battling a rare and debilitating gastrointestinal disease that hospitalized him for almost six months. He has endured uncertainty, pain, and countless medical procedures. He expects to be released to home in the next few days. Despite it all, Stacey has shown strength and durability that is inspiring. Stacey is not just a brother—he is a husband, father, friend, uncle, and an irreplaceable part of our lives.

This rare illness has taken a tremendous toll on Stacey's body, and has understandably placed an enormous financial strain on his family. Both his wife Cheryl and son Hayes have just invoked FMLA (unpaid Family and Medical Leave Act) with their employers to care for Stacey when he arrives home. Since Stacey has been unable to work, there has been no paycheck in several months. The mounting medical expenses, the essential household expenses with little to no income far exceed what we can manage on our own. We have also applied for disability.

We are humbly asking for your generous contributions to help Stacey focus on his
path to recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support his
medical care and give him the best chance at regaining his health and quality of life. If you are unable to contribute financially, your prayers, well-wishes, and
sharing of this campaign mean the world to us.

Thank you for taking the time to read Stacey’s story. Your kindness and compassion can make a life-changing difference for him and our family. Let’s rally together to give Stacey the support he needs and deserves to reach full recovery.

With gratitude and hope,
Cathy Benson (Stacey’s sister)
