This is uncomfortable for me as I have always been a person comfortable raising money for various charities and people...and I never thought I would have to do this for myself.

In January, I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma. I was lucky to catch it early. I have had multiple surgeries with more on the way. I thought I would be right back to work, but now it looks like I will be missing about 2 months. I need time off for surgeries and to heal. My job, which I have had for 25 years, does not offer insurance or sick days and it is a physical job which makes it harder to return to. I am paying over $700 a month out of pocket for my health insurance. As of now, my portion of the hospital bills are hovering at about $15,000.

I am raising funds to help pay expenses and cover medical costs. That being said, please have your skin checked at least once a year. Thank you for your assistance in my fight against Melanoma.
