Hi St. Justin Family & Friends!

The 8th Graders are excited to be participating in the tradition of visiting Washington, D.C., and New York this year. This is an educational and peer adventure that they will hold near and dear for a lifetime. I'm sure many of you still have fond memories of taking a similar trip when you were younger.

We are asking for your support to help fund this once in a lifetime experience. We are working as a community to raise enough to overcome the financial burden this trip will place on some of our families. With your support, all the children who want to go on this trip will be able to experience a whole new world.

In DC, we will visit museums and landmarks like the Smithsonian, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and Capitol Hill to name a few. We will see the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and many other pillars of our nation's history. In New York, we will visit the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, One World Trade Center, the Reflecting Pools, and see a Broadway show. This trip will bring the 8th graders to many of the places they have learned about in books, online, and in the classroom. It will help them understand the significance of the landmarks and their design, and teach them about the vital role they play in our nation's future. All while serving as an amazing opportunity for them to strengthen bonds with their friends and classmates as they prepare to enter high school.
