Help St. John Church Recover From Vandalism
Donation protected
Starting August 2023, St. John has been targeted by a series of escalating acts of vandalism. First was the theft of copper, then both AC units (qty 2) that have yet to be replaced, and defecation within. The most egregious to date transpired just last week. During the week of August 5th 2024 it was discovered three of the four fire extinguishers on site were discharged throughout the entirety of the church as shown in the pictures below.
St. John Baptist Church has been in the community for nearly 100 years and is on the National Register of Historic Places in the State of Oklahoma and US Department of the Interior.
On the eve of St. John's Centennial Anniversary it is with heavy hearts that we find ourselves in this situation. Any donations will help towards HVAC replacement, repairs, hazmat cleaning, and security to hopefully deter similar acts in the future.
May the Lord show us His approval and make our efforts successful.
Blessings to all who are able to donate!
