Help Sri Lanka's Domesticated Elephants

Donation protected
I work for an organisation ran in Sri Lanka that looks after Domesticated Elephants, taking them from tourism projects/labour projects and giving them a holiday for as long as we can rent them for. This allows them to be more healthy physically, and also mentally, benefiting them and people around them. Because of the Covid-19 outbreak, and different countries responses to the public panic, Sri Lanka has closed its doors to tourists for the next 2 months. Due to this, it means for a solid 2/3 months we are likely to not be receiving any income, and therefore it will become increasingly difficult to keep Mali with us here. Due to us renting Mali, we need to still show the owners that we are receiving income to allow them to let us keep her, ensuring her happiness, health and well-being. If she is taken away from the project she will likely be put back into her old work, which was as a labour elephant in the jungle, which is the worst kind of work for her to do. Samandha will also have to work in this environment, making it extremely dangerous for him and incidentally changing the loving relationship that has built up between him and Mali, into what it used to be. It would be awful for both of them. All extra information about our project that you may need is included in our website, so please check it out if you have the time.  www.elephantcarerelief.com  If you are interested in volunteering too, please don't hesitate to contact us.
