Over a year ago, I was volunteering at Barc and I fell in love with a dog that was the trifecta of the type of dog that you DONT wanna fall in love with. He was a senior pitbull, he was heartworm positive and his temperament was hit or miss. Oh and his face was full of scars .

But for some reason, I had to save his life. So I took a chance and fostered him through the shelter with zero support after he was listed for euthanasia like an insane person.

Fostering him had its highs and lows. He is such an easy guy to love, and was an incredible foster brother to 20+ dogs, but his separation anxiety and inconsistent temperament made for its own challenges. I truly prepared  myself to have him forever because people aren’t exactly lining up to adopt dogs like him.

But After over 400 days he found his forever . I just know he lived an awful life before me and was probably tied up at a tire shop living on concrete or something equally atrocious. He’s a senior and LOVES his people and isn’t a fan of the crate, so I know the only way to send him off is by taking him there myself.

I know it’s a huge ask, but I would love help raising $1800 to get my boy to his forever home. My mom and I are driving to the Canadian border to meet his adopters, and we will fly home. We would be so grateful for funds towards gas, rental car, hotel, flights, meals, etc. Anything extra will be donated to my favorite rescues!
