Help Sprinkle Creek Landscaping rebuild from Helene
Donation protected
It’s hard for me to post this Go Fund Me but after cleaning up everything left from our business today, I recognize that I’m one of those people who have lost so much.
Pat, my husband, and I own Sprinkle Creek Landscaping in Asheville in the River Arts Districr along the French Broad River.
We made preparations for Helene, we moved everything above the 1916 flood level, removed trucks and large equipment and made sure our employees were safe.
This storm surpassed expectations and the river was 10’ higher than the last catastrophic flood.
The water and debris tore through our property to the roof of the building. It dragged my office down river to who knows where (I’ll look for it tomorrow).
Today we went there to clean up and salvage what we could. We had employees who wanted to help because Sprinkle Creek Landscaping is their livelihood, income and we are their family.
It was during the clean up process that I saw debris from inside peoples homes and businesses strewn through the area and way up into the surrounding trees. I saw people whose situations are worse and I talked with neighbor businesses about how we will come back.
We don’t have flood insurance. We will have to rely on relief from the government which is unsure at this point and it made me recognize that I have people that care about me and want to help.
It’s hard for me to ask for money but I want to keep my employees paid, I want to build back and be a business that will help Asheville recover from this catastrophic storm.
If you donate to us, we promise to help Asheville come back and recover from this storm, we promise to help our employees maintain a job and help the community to recover and we promise to be so grateful of your generosity to help in our time of need.
