Help Bring Living on the Moon to the Edinburgh Festival
Donation protected
We are getting closer to our goal!! Thank you everyone.I’m excited to share that I’m fundraising to bring my show, "Living on the Moon", to the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland this August. This year’s theme is “The Truth We Seek”—a perfect match for the deeply personal story I’ve been telling on stage.
For over 30 years, I’ve written and performed in pursuit of sharing truth, whether that truth was my own or someone else's. Living on the Moon has been a vital part of my own truth-telling over the past six years. It explores my experience of caring for my mother during her 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Now, I face my own diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and I am doing everything in my power to keep this disease at bay—and so far, it’s working.
The unfortunate reality is that fear and stigma keep people from seeking help for early signs of dementia. But through early diagnosis, lifestyle changes, and new treatments-including the early-stage Alzheimer's-combating drug LEQEMBI—there are ways to slow the progression of cognitive decline. I’m fighting hard, I’m hopeful, and I want to share my story with the world.
I will complete the first phase of my LEQEMBI infusion treatments this summer and then move to a less frequent monthly.
To mark this milestone, I’m crossing the pond to share Living on the Moon—and its message of hope and resilience—with international audiences.
Thanks to many generous supporters, I’m well on my way to reaching my goal. But I still need help to raise $15,000 needed for travel, production, and festival expenses.
Would you consider making a donation? A gift of any amount would mean the world.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
