Support Our Charity

Clyde Cycle Park’s mission is for everyone to learn to cycle and enjoy bike riding. Over the last year, hundreds of people from 4 to 84 have taken part in a session at the park. We offer:

• kid’s lessons
• women’s confidence courses
• group rides
• club racing
• bike trials
• school Bikeability courses
• autism cycle days

Last year, we built our first 250m skills course. Now we need your help to build an even better cycle park. We are fundraising to build:

• a clubhouse for people to have a coffee and get together
• a bike repair workshop
• more storage units to let us offer a wider range of bikes to people of all ages and abilities

What do we want to do?
We want to have a bigger compound with space for a pavilion with a kitchenette. So people using the Park can get together after cycling and have a drink. We will have a generator and fully accessible mobile toilet. With these facilities we can run more and bigger events.
We also need more space for storage. We are getting a range of bikes of all sizes, adapted bikes and trikes so that anyone can come and ride. But we need secure space to store and maintain these. One of the new units would be used for a workshop so that we can run more Dr Bike sessions and ensure are own bikes are well-maintained.

What's happening at the park

Here is a short video of the activities delivered at the park this year.

What funding do we need?
We need to raise £10,000. This will help fund the compound development, the pavilion, an awning, generator equipment and cage, mobile toilet, tables and chairs and other equipment.

What are the future plans?
We have an ambitious Masterplan for the Clyde Cycle Park. Phase 1 (250m) skills circuit is complete. Phase 2 will involve a 1km track, and Phase 3 a further 800. In all we will have almost 2km of cycle circuits, serving not just the local community but much of the west of Scotland. Phase 4 will see a pavilion with changing rooms, café and restaurant and a cycle speedway circuit.

How can you help?
Please support us with donations to fund the next stage. We are also looking for volunteers so if you would like to help realise the dream of the Clyde Cycle Park, please get in touch!
