Hi, my name is Joanne Todd and I’m writing to share the story of a really good human who needs a little community help! In a time where anger, some selfishness, and more is all that appears on the news, I wanted to share a story of true unselfish and amazing kindness in this season of giving!

Dear friends, neighbors, and fellow community members,

I wish to invite you to join me in making a meaningful difference in the life of an exceptional individual who has devoted his life to serving our community. Our beloved local soccer coach, Coach Dougie, is facing financial hardships as he selflessly cares for his ailing grandparents and their home and bills.

For years, Dougie has been a beacon of light for our community's children, instilling not only soccer skills but also important life values such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

After working several jobs seven days a week to achieve his dream, he used his hard-earned savings to put air conditioning and heat into the home for his elderly grandparents. He is the primary caregiver.

Growing up in a tough childhood with a dad who was absent most of his life, he swore to be a better man! He donates his time to the underprivileged and volunteers at the church. Not just here or there. This person tirelessly helps others and the community, believing always in others, inspiring and cheerleading to ensure they have confidence and help them be successful.

All the time maintaining a smile and dedication but always having a roadblock against him. It’s hard not to be a little deterred or depressed. Not Dougie, he maintains his happy unselfish ways and goes about his days.

Well, it’s time to give back. Let’s help him fulfill his dreams and get going on that journey to help more people and touch the hearts of everyone who comes into contact with him.

Truly an amazing person who deserves so much. Please help make a dream come true as he strives to get to the next chapter of his life.
