I feel spiritually inspired to share this daily devotional with as many people as possible. After reading it myself, I felt so strongly, in fact, that two years ago I started a small book ministry and started buying them just to give them to people that I felt especially needed encouragement. Some of them I knew, and some I barely knew at all. Didn't matter. I knew this book could change their life.

To date, I have shared this book with approximately 30 people. In each book, I write a personal note of encouragement. It has really meant a lot to the people with whom I shared it. Many of them have told me so.

To this point, I have paid for it with my own money. It's ok. I have done it joyfully and had no expectations. However, I have now seen the impact this book can have and I want to do more, lots more. So, to really grow the ministry and reach more people I need to ask others to financially support my efforts. Why?

We live in troubled times and many, many people are searching for answers. They need love. They need forgiveness. They need peace. They need rest. They need guidance. Most of all, they need hope. They will search far and wide for all of these and ALL will come up short... until they find Jesus Christ.

I was one of those people until I surrendered my life to Jesus. With one simple prayer, my life changed. I told Jesus I believed He was the Son of God and died on the cross for the sins of the world... my sins, your sins, the sins of this world. I asked for His forgiveness and I repented of my sins.

That was nearly 40 years ago. He has been faithful. He has been good. In recent years, I have asked God to clearly show me direction. I have asked Him to reveal to me what I can do to serve Him and glorify Him. He has answered. He wants me to share this book with others. It's called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. You can buy it at Hobby Lobby or Christian bookstores for around $18. But, many people won’t buy it. Many don’t even know it exists. The truth is, without our help, they may never be lead to the Lord. But, I believe this book will transform lives. It has mine, and it has for many with whom I have shared it. I want to help more people get this book.

So, what’s so special about this book?

The author, Sarah Young, imagined what Jesus would say if we could just have a short meeting with Him to start each day. So, this daily devotional is meant to emulate a real conversation with Jesus. Just imagine how different our lives would be if we had a “strategy session” with Jesus each day and He clearly described how He wanted us to approach each day. Oh, how different our days would be if we knew Jesus was beside us all day long. This book can do that for people.

To say this devotional has strengthened my relationship with Jesus would be an understatement. I look forward to my “meeting” with Him every morning. Just today (Nov. 25th), He reminded me to thank Him frequently throughout today. He told me to draw near to Him with a grateful heart and His presence will fill me with joy and peace. He even reminded me of an encouraging verse from the Bible, Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
