Update I've been granted an extension till Dec 31 st to complete my fundraising goal. So blessed thanks kindly to all that have donated and shared. Please please keep sharing
Founded in 1966, Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) with its Self-Rescue program is nationally recognized as the safest provider of survival swimming lessons for infants and young children.
My name is Melissa Haskett. I lost my little man Zack 4ever9 in 2012 when he tragically drowned in Wasaga Beach Ont Canada . I created Zack's Bracelet's 4 swimming lessons in his memory and to keep his legacy alive ❣️ I'm so grateful that we have sent over 1,500 children for paid swimming lessons at the Wasaga Beach YMCA. It's been a long hard journey since losing Zack. I've been working so hard the past 10 years on my PTSD. I'm finally ready to take the final step in training in becoming a certified infant swim instructor here in Canada..as unfortunately we only have 1 ISR instructors here. There will never be more fulfillment to my heart and soul to actually teach this myself here in Canada. It's so extremely important for any child to learn survival swim lessons. It's something I wish I knew when I was a young mom. The training is very long and will challenge me every step of the way...this I know...but I'm finally ready and so very passionate to start hopefully soon. I will be in the States for training. I need all the help I can get right now to help me pay for it and finally board that plane and head off to something that's going to change my life forever....and will be saving many little lives along the way ❣️ I thank anyone that supports and has supported me along this painful and remarkable experience. I do it all for my little dude. I know this will be the greatest accomplishment in my life.. because it's not been easy getting to where I am now. Much love to all of you and I can't wait to share my journey with all of you when I'm there ❣️the money is for my fee for training and my flight there and back. I am committed to providing these survival swimming lessons to the families in my community and surrounding areas but I need your support. Currently we only have one ISR instructor in Calgary. It costs $9500 USD which is just almost $13000 Canadian plus my airfare and food. GoFundMe also takes a percentage so that's why I'm asking for 16000
