The families of FDNY E84/L34 are once again this holiday season helping to raise money for the Veteran’s Assistance Program at Hi Tor Animal Shelter. This program trains beautiful shelter dogs to serve as therapeutic animal companions to a Veteran in need.
Last year the money we raised, with your help, brought together a soldier and his dog after a 5-year wait - a process that was made longer by a lack of funding — and we are hoping to shorten that journey for the next soldier and his or her dog.
This year’s campaign is in honor of FF Terence Lorino of FDNY E38/L51, a Navy Veteran, who passed away this past May... who quietly, and with humility, did good works of charity for those in need.
