Hello, Our names are Lyndsey Connolly and Lizzy Friedman. We are both seniors at Drexel University studying Entertainment & Arts Management. For our senior project we wanted to combine our love for theatre making and for the environment. Following this vision we created Happy Planet Theatre, a company in which we could produce a theatre show while creating the least amount of waste as possible. We recognize that the live entertainment industry, especially theatre is extremely wasteful and we would like to set a precedent with this project that sustainable art is possible. This November, Happy Planet Theatre will be presenting "Natural Selection " a new theatre work written by Liv Shoup, a recent Drexel graduate. We are looking to host this event in Clark Park on the dates of November 19th, 20th, and 21st. Money raised from this fundraiser will go towards our low waste costumes, props, set pieces, and tech equipment. All who generously donate to this fundraiser will have their name featured in our online program as well as a surprise art installation at the event in November.
