Mini is one of my best friends and desperately needs help to care for Spike, her service dog. Spike has diabetes and he is covered with the PetPlan Covered For Life policy. She paid £260 a month for pet insurance for 10 months before making their first claim due to Spike becoming ill. He was just diagnosed with diabetes which the insurance refuses to cover. They claim the condition was pre existing due to Spike’s weight despite him being negative on a diabetes test last year.

Spike needs a high dose of insulin twice a day and two Freestyle Libres every month (they are like a Dexcom) to monitor his glucose. Spike’s treatment and meds will cost £1000 now and £500 a month after that. Any amount you can donate will help.
