Help Spencer Keep the BBQ Tradition Alive at Leroy’s Familiar Vittles
If you’ve spent any time at Leroy’s Familiar Vittles, chances are you’ve seen the friendly smile of longtime employee and all-around good guy Spencer Patterson. Spencer has worked under founder/owner pit boss Anton “Leroy” Pace as his protege. After years of serving up great food and good vibes, Spencer is ready to take the next big step — becoming a partner of LeRoy’s food cart and continuing the tradition of excellent Southern barbecue.
The cart is located at the old Landmark Saloon spot, where some exciting changes are brewing (IYKYK). While the cart itself is separate from the bar/venue, Spencer plans to keep the BBQ going strong right where people already know and love it.
To make this dream a reality, Spencer is raising funds to help cover the costs involved in partnership and operating the cart, including:
• Maintenance of the food cart
• Equipment and upgrades
• Licenses and permits
• Insurance
• Initial supplies and operating costs
The goal is to get the cart open as soon as possible — even before the bar and venue are fully back up and running.
If you’ve ever enjoyed Leroy’s BBQ, chatted with Spencer through the cart window, or believe in supporting hardworking folks taking the leap into partnership and one day ownership, this is a great chance to help keep a beloved local BBQ tradition alive.
Every contribution — big or small — helps get Anton and Spencer one step closer to firing up the smoker and serving the community again.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Let’s help Spencer get the cart rolling!
