Hi all, my name is Sam, and my beautiful big eyed dog is Spencer. He’s turning eight next month and has been by my side since he was just eight weeks old. Through the highs and lows of the last eight years, Spencer has always been there - especially during some very difficult times over the past year. He seems to know when I’m struggling and never fails to make me smile, comfort me and make me feel safe.

Spencer has been such a healthy, happy dog for most of his life, but he has been struggling lately so I took him to the vet. We found out that he has glaucoma which isnt impacting him yet however he does urgently need surgery to remove a painful tooth, and attend to a serious issue with his trachea. Being half pug, he has inherited some of their common breathing problems and lately, he’s been coughing so much more. The vet suspects a collapsed trachea or something pressing on it. Because of this, even short walks have become hard for him, and he’s started getting chubby from not being as active.

Asking for help is definitely not easy however,I unfortunately can’t afford the surgery on my own.

Spencer means so much to me and I want to give him the care he needs to live happily and comfortably. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to both of us.
