Help Speedfest Orange Team Take Flight
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Gavin Chenier, and I am the Chief Engineer for the Speedfest Orange team at Oklahoma State University. Speedfest is an annual aerospace design competition and exposition involving teams of students responsible for designing, building, and flying aircraft to complete specific challenges or tasks. When I first heard about Speedfest as an underclassman, I was inspired. So over my underclassman years, I volunteered for Speedfest, and I found a passion for the planes and the people. Now, I am a senior, and I am honored to be a part of this team.
Over the next few months, my team and I will be working on developing a new class of pylon racing airplanes capable of performing aerobatic maneuvers with a smoke show. We will be working with and learning about composite materials, the DA35 engine, and aerodynamic and propulsive simulators. We are excited to apply the knowledge we've learned over the past 3 years and excited for all the stuff we will learn along the way. Our team is on a mission to bring innovation to the industry, share plane love and knowledge with the community, and invest in the next generation of aerospace engineers. Together, we can get us closer to the finish line (literally). Thank you for your contribution!
