Help Special Needs Family Rebuild after Palisades Fire

Donation protected
We're Aron and Annica Levin, and we're raising money to support our family and our three children (including our disabled 9-year old son).

As the devastating wildfire swept through our Palisades neighborhood on January 7, 2025, our home (Located on Sunset Blvd & Drummond) was reduced to ashes. We didn’t have time to save a single item. Every piece of furniture, clothing, and personal belonging is gone.

We’re now navigating this heartbreak as a family of five: Parents, an 11-year-old daughter, a 9-year-old son with significant disabilities, and a 4-year-old son.

The situation is naturally very challenging and difficult to process for our children.

Losing the comfort and security of having a place to call home, and equally losing their own personal belongings. Their toys, bikes, stuffed animals, arts, crafts, Christmas gifts, games and clothes.

(the house next door captured by a news crew. That's when we knew that all was lost.)

Why we're asking for your support

• Our 9-year-old has severe autism, hearing loss, and an intellectual disability. He thrives in a specialized environment, equipped with communication devices, motor-skill aids, and sensory equipment. Re-creating this setup is crucial for his growth and well-being.

• Our 11-year-old and 4-year-old both lost clothes, toys, books, bike... well... everything. They’re feeling the loss of their cherished belongings and sense of security.

• We need to replace everyday essentials. Beds, car seats, kitchen equipment, and rebuild a warm, stable environment for our children.

• While insurance may eventually help, the process is long and won’t cover everything. We’re paying for temporary housing, car rentals, and basic needs out of pocket, creating significant financial strain.

Here's how the funds will be used

1. Specialized Support

• Communication and motor-skills devices
• Sensory and therapy equipment for our son
• Security measures like cameras, GPS trackers, and motion sensors.

2. Family Essentials

• Clothing, shoes, and furniture for our two other children
• Books, toys, and other items that support their learning and play
• Beds, couches, tables, and other household necessities

3. Therapy and Emotional Support

• Professional counseling for our children as they process loss and change
• Additional support to help our 9-year-old adjust to a new environment

Looking ahead
Though this journey will be long and costly, our hope remains strong.

We want our children to remember that, even in hardship, they are surrounded by love and compassion. From friends, strangers and our community.

Every donation helps us move closer to a safe, comforting home where they can continue to grow. And to show them that people can set their differences aside and come together to support each other in times of crisis and uncertainty.

So that they too, one day, might pay it forward and extend that same generosity when someone else is in need.

Mandatory info requested by GoFundMe to prevent fraudulent fundraisers:

I’m Annica Levin, mother to three children (ages 4, 9, and 11). My family and I live in Los Angeles, having moved here from Sweden in 2018. I’m raising funds for our own immediate family after our home at 14840 W Sunset Blvd in Pacific Palisades was destroyed by the Palisades Fire on January 7–8, 2025.

We lost everything in the fire. Furniture, clothes, toys, and specialized equipment for my 9-year-old, who has severe autism, hearing loss, and developmental disabilities. All donations will go toward:

Specialized Support – Communication aids, therapy devices, sensory equipment, and security measures for my disabled son.

Family Essentials – Furniture, clothing, and daily necessities for my 4-year-old and 11-year-old.

Therapy and Emotional Support – Professional counseling for all three children to help them cope with the trauma.

I understand I’m fully accountable for using these funds exactly as described, and I will keep donors updated on how each contribution is spent. Thank you for your understanding and support.
