My special education team here in Lafayette, CO wants to continue to learn and grow as providers. We know that the best way to do that is to attend the annual Courage to Risk conference in January, so we can connect with and learn from experts in our field. Our school is generously providing the registration fees for our team! Unfortunately, the cost of travel and accommodations has greatly increased this year, and with the economy being what it is, that will likely prevent several members of the team from attending this professional development opportunity without additional monetary support. We all have specific students that we are hoping to find new ways of serving so we can better meet their unique needs. We are seeking support from the greater community to help us cover our travel costs. This will be divided equally among us to defray our out-of-pocket costs. If you are in a position to help, there is a great group of teachers and over 100 students in our K-12 school who will be grateful that you helped us to become better at what we do.
