The beneficiary of this campaign is Travis Barnes' wife, Sharon

My name is Christina Proctor. My autistic son was a student of Travis Barnes at Avalon Middle School in Pace, Florida. 

On 8/25/2021 the heartbreaking announcement was made that Mr Barnes had passed away that morning after a lengthy battle against COVID.

Mr. Barnes was a caring and compassionate teacher that had dedicated his life to helping children with special needs. He loved each of his students and they loved him. I know they are all going to miss him so much.

He and his wife Sharon have 2 young sons. I cannot imagine his family's pain and hardship.

Mr Barnes was an amazing man and teacher. The impact he left on so many will last a lifetime. 

I do not know his family's personal financial situation, but I do know the impact tragedies like this can have on a family.
