In our community, feral and stray cats face many challenges, from overpopulation to illness and lack of care. Over the past two years, Shara and a group of dedicated local trappers have worked tirelessly to help these cats by spaying and neutering them. Thanks to generous donations, they’ve been able to TNR (trap, neuter, return) hundreds of cats in areas like Dallas and Falls City. In Dallas alone, about 120 cats were fixed, and 20 kittens found safe homes through rescue organizations. Similar efforts in Falls City have made a huge impact, keeping the population down and reducing sickness and suffering among the cats.
Unfortunately, the Humane Society now charges a fee per cat for TNR, and this year, there are no funds available to continue this important work. Without support, the feral cat population will grow, leading to more illness and hardship for these animals. Your donation will help cover the cost of spaying and neutering feral and community cats, ensuring they live healthier lives and helping our community stay safe and compassionate.
Please consider donating to help Shara and the local trappers continue their mission. Every dollar makes a difference, and together, we can keep the feral cat population under control and reduce suffering. Thank you for your support!
